Set deep in the Scottish Highlands this multi stage self-sufficiency race
for teams of 2 takes on some of Britain's most remote and challenging terrain. Each team is expected to carry their food,
equipment and shelter for the duration of the event, adding to the demands of an already arduous 200 mile course.
The Highland Ultramarathon is an unique event, blending the 2 person team element of the mountain
marathon, where co-operation, self-sufficiency and navigational skill is paramount, with the prolonged challenges and
attritional nature of the multi stage endurance event, whilst taking in uncomprimising terrain and spectacular scenery.
The organisers seek to provide an affordable British ultramarathon without
compromising the self-sufficiency ethic, creating a truly world class event in the rugged beauty of the Highlands.
